The International Theatresports™ Institute (ITI) is the official worldwide licensor of improvisation formats created by Keith Johnstone.

Setup in 1998 by Mr. Johnstone as a not-for-profit organization to manage the international licensing of his four improvisation formats, the ITI oversees Theatresports™, Micetro Impro™, Gorilla Theatre™ and the Life Game™. Prior to 1998, the Loose Moose Theatre Company handled licensing.

For more information, please browse this site! You can read more about the ITI or check out our section which deals with Frequently Asked Questions.

NEW at THEATRESPORTS.org

As you can see, the whole website is new! We've been working hard on putting some long-overdue updates in place, and we'll still be adding more in the coming weeks. Take a look around and let us know what you think. Here are some highlights:

  • better navigation
  • new content
  • updated look
  • Google page translation
  • and more!

Licensed Leagues will also find a completely updated password-protected Licensee Area with new content. The login for this area is in the 'Licensed Leagues' section of the dark blue navigation menu to the far left (it's called 'Licensee Login' and it turns red when you mouse over it).
