Peter Coyote
"Theatresports is the Olympics of improvisation, kept honest by judges who give the immediate boot for boredom or self-indulgence. It was invented by Keith Johnstone, a famous acting teacher, to try and inculcate in audiences, the same skills demonstrated by sports audiences. He did this because he was appalled by the amount of bad acting that audiences would accept. Watching theater-sports is only minimally less fun than participating in them. Find them. Watch them. Hoot, cheer, and holler, and be rowdy, be judgmental, be cruel and enjoy the hell out of a great evening at theater."
